OHB Hellas is seeking an engineer (m/f) that will reinforce the team with intelligent system competences.

Detailed task description:

  • Work with a multi-disciplinary team with a wide range of skill sets. 
  • Design, develop and validate ML models for on-board applications. 
  • Familiarity of software stack for edge computing. 
  • Keeping in touch with latest developments and SOTA in ML and space technology. 
  • Technical writing and preparation of responses to calls for tenders (ESA, Horizon Europe etc.). 
  • Documenting and presenting research findings and technical methodologies to internal teams, academic/industry conferences as well as non-technical audiences. 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education in relevant field (Computer Science/Electrical Eng/Telecommunications/Mathematics) – (MSc or PhD). 
  • Familiarity with different types of ML model architectures as well as data modalities. 
  • Experience in ML model optimization. 
  • Python and C/C++, Scripting languages, git, ML libraries (Tensorflow, PyTorch). 
  • Experience with software development for embedded systems or low-resource computing environments. 
  • Strong experience in Linux/Unix systems. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Willingness to take on challenges, show resiliency and like to always learn new skills. 
  • English (proficient level, required) and German (good-to-have).

OHB Hellas is seeking an engineer (m/f) that will reinforce the team with Telecommunication competences.

Detailed task description:

  • Work with a multi-disciplinary team with a wide range of skill sets including but not limited to RF design. 
  • Preparation of responses to calls for tenders (ESA, Horizon Europe etc.) 
  • Explore modern wireless Telecommunication standards. 
  • Identify requirements, participate in design & specification generation activities. 
  • Lead activities related to optical ground stations for communication, surveillance and tracking applications. 
  • Implement digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms for communication applications. 
  • Contribute to ESA management and technical documentation for project reviews. 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education in the field of RF/telecommunications (MSc or PhD) 
  • Strong knowledge in 3GPP NTN, ITU recommendations 
  • Space: satellite communication, laser system knowledge, performance and link budget assessment / ECSS Standards 
  • Implementation/Simulation of waveforms in tools/simulators
